About Rummy Tandon
Romila “Rummy” Tandon is a Fairfax‑based artist and volunteer whose work brings comfort to both children and seniors. After a 40‑year career in travel ended during the pandemic, she shifted her focus to painting, specializing in pet portraits. She partners with INOVA Children’s Hospital to provide free custom portraits to pediatric patients, offering families meaningful keepsakes during treatment. Rummy also teaches art classes for seniors at the Sully Community Center and received the 2024 Volunteer of the Year Award for her service. Her work blends creativity with compassion, making a tangible impact in her community.
As a member of the Fairfax Art League, Rummy hopes to expand her Pet Portrait work and also showcase her creativity .
