Valerie Timmons in her own words …

I’ve always enjoyed art- my mother was an artist so she taught me to appreciate art at a young age. I went to art classes at Abington and Cheltenham Art Centers in Pennsylvania and also attended Bucks County Community College fine arts program when I was younger. I became a speech therapist in 1996 and frequently incorporated art into my therapy with younger students. I got back into art after my diagnosis with Lupus when I suffered some health challenges and was unable to work. I’m currently taking art lessons with the artist Amanda Parker and look forward to continuing my learning journey.
