Mark Geiger will work with participants on techniques in watercolor painting. Beginner or expert: all are welcome. The aim is to learn by doing.
Course objectives for this three-series class are to review artistic background and techniques of watercolor to achieve basic comfort and competence in composing and executing work in this media. Beginners will learn basic concepts and techniques for a range of compositions. More experienced artists will have the opportunity to practice a range of alternative techniques and integrate theoretical material and applied methods into enhanced practice sessions.
The fee per class is $15 for members and $30 for non-members.

About the Artist
Mark Geiger is an artist specializing in local scenery, particularly using the medium of watercolor, as well as drawings, pastel and oils. His style is impressionistic, and he is drawn to the theory behind light and color. Drawing and painting have been avocations since early childhood. His work has been exhibited in the Fairfax county area, including the Fairfax Art League. Other pursuits include full time work in the fields of occupational health, safety and environmental management, reading and outdoor activities.
