Kathleen will teach a class focusing on making a collage and using the collage technique in paintings. She will share examples of her collage artwork and explain how she uses it in her paintings. In addition to items Kathleen will bring to the class, participants are encouraged to bring items of interest to them including found objects, paper, and memorabilia to create unique and interesting works of art to the artist.
Preregistration is required.

Kathleen Stark has been studying art off and on all her adult life. She began her studies at The Corcoran School of Art and Design and has taken lessons in many places including Northern Virginia Community College. Kathleen started experimenting with collage in 1993 and has continued to use it in many of her acrylic and pastel paintings. She also creates memory collages and assemblages using found objects, paper, photos and collectibles.
